The EMA provides its members with employment relations advice from industry specialists, a business school with over 100 courses and a wide variety of conferences and events to help businesses grow. In addition the EMA advocates on behalf of its members to bring change in contentious areas such as resource management, Employment Law, and infrastructure development.
EMA is a founding member of BusinessNZ, New Zealand's largest business advocacy body, committed to championing a production, export-oriented, competitive business environment in which enterprise can thrive.
Membership is drawn from four regional business organizations: Employers' & Manufacturers' Association (EMA), Business Central, Canterbury Employers' Chamber of Commerce (CECC), Otago Southland Employers' Association (OSEA) - which offer services and support to over 14,500 members companies.
